DIY hacks you should avoid

People come up with different hacks to treat acne or dark spots without thinking about the possible damage that can be done on the skin. These hacks might seem like they are working but can cause actua damage to your skin.

  1. Toothpaste: toothpaste is known to have properties that can fight germs and also absorb excess oil from the skin but it can lead to skin irritation and also dry out the skin.

  2. Sugar: Using sugar as an exfoliant is not a very wise decision as it can be very harsh on the face leading to irritation, injuries, itching, scratches e.t.c.

  3. Lemon juice: Lemon may be a citric fruit but it also consists of citric acid which is too acidic for the skin. Lemon juice can cause spots to appear after exposure to the sun , it also irritate and dry out the skin.

  4. Baking Soda : Apply baking soda directly to the skin can cause irritation. At 8 pH level,it stresses the skin and greatly decrease the water content leading to dryness.

  5. Garlic: Applying raw garlic paste directly on the skin can lead to irriration, skin allergies, eczema, inflammation e.t.c.

It’s irritation, you should use tea tree oil or Pure aloe Vera gel
